Special Recognition - Brooklyn Tech alumnus Jack Feinstein ’60 was honored by The City College, the college from which he graduated. He was a recipient of the Townsend Harris Medal for outstanding postgraduate achievement in his chosen field. Jack has logged over forty years in the electric utility industry.

Career Day - This year, Career Day took place on Wednesday, October 25th. We were fortunate to welcome 120 speakers, which included 95 alumni, 20 parents, and 5 friends of Tech. Speakers covered career fields such as education, fashion, technology, law, medicine, environmental science, marketing, and entrepreneurship. Some traveled from as far as Georgia, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Kansas, and Florida. On average, each speaker presented in two classes, which helped us cover well over 240 classrooms and reach nearly the entire student body in one day.

This event concluded with a special interview workshop by Bola Oyedijo ’92. Bola is a Worldwide Delivery Excellence Leader at IBM Watson Health. Recent Alumni Day – Registration for Recent Alumni Day is now Open! This event is set to take place on Friday, January 5th. We encourage all recent alums to register before December 1st. Participants will present in two classes at preferred time frames and discuss their college experiences. Those who wish to simply visit their instructors can plan directly with the teachers for a different day.

Girls’ Tennis Team won the City Championship – first time in 14 years.

Girls' Soccer - Congratulations to the Girls' Varsity Soccer team for its PSAL quarterfinals victory over Bronx Science yesterday at Tech Field. The team won 1-0 on a late goal from sophomore Simrun Bose on an assist from fellow sophomore Nia Blankson.

Girls' Swim - Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Swim Team for placing 2nd in the PSAL Swimming & Diving Individual Championships this past weekend. Highlights were sophomore Sophia Mitchell winning the 500 Yard Freestyle and sophomore Sarah Sucher setting a new school record in the 100 Yard Backstroke, as well as Tech's 400 Freestyle Relay of Bianca Salcedo, Angela Lao, Sarah Sucher and Sophia Mitchell qualifying for the New York State Swimming & Diving Championships with a new school record and the second fastest time in PSAL history in the event. The girls swim against Stuyvesant in the Team Championships tonight at Lehman College.
