Brooklyn Tech 2013 Graduation
2013 Hall of Fame Inductees2013 Graduates

More than 1,200 of New York City’s brightest students  graduated from Brooklyn Tech this year, and sent off to many of the nation’s top colleges, in a historic first – commencement at the Barclays Center.

The 131st Commencement marked the first time the ceremonies were held outside the school, and Brooklyn Tech was the only high school to hold its commencement at the acclaimed new arena.

The new venue was welcomed not only for the dramatic setting, but because of the improvements it enabled.

As Tech’s enrollment has climbed, it became necessary to split graduation into two ceremonies. With this year’s change in venue all 1200+ seniors and their families took part in one grand ceremony, and each attendee thoroughly enjoyed the benefits of indoor air-conditioning, something Tech does not yet have in the auditorium. Volunteer Recruitment - middle school outreach project
The Brooklyn Tech Alumni Foundation is working with Brooklyn Tech to establish several small teams each comprised of a parent, student, faculty member, and alumnus to visit Brooklyn middle schools during the High School Admissions season to champion Brooklyn Tech and the Tech experience. We are specifically looking for Tech graduates from the mid 90’s through 2009, who attended middle school in Brooklyn, and who are available during the day and/or weekday evenings from mid September through the end of October. There will be several evening training sessions in early September; volunteers need to be comfortable working within a team setting and speaking in front of groups of students and parents.

In order for you to be considered for this project, we ask that you complete the form on this page and submit no later than August 15th. Thank you.
