Homecoming Draws Record Crowd
Nearly 1,000 alumni, current and former faculty and students filled the hallways and classrooms of Brooklyn Tech in the most successful homecoming ever.

The Classes of 1959, 1969, 1979, 1984, 1989 and 1999 led the way, but alumni from all eras and years turned out April 24-25 to visit and admire the many enhancements and changes that have unfolded since their graduation year.

A Student's View of Homecoming
Shelly Bendit, 2009 Senior Class President, struck a chord of shared experience when she welcomed and thanked the Homecoming crowd. Excerpts of her comments:

For many of you, Brooklyn Tech was much more than just four years of school. I know that for me it was a four-year period of growing as an individual.

When I came to Tech, I was scared, like most other freshmen. I was intimidated by the size and never thought I would find somewhere to belong. Quickly I realized that wasn’t the case. Tech had so many opportunities to offer me that now it feels more like a second home. The students, faculty, and administrators have taught me so much that I know no matter where I go, I will be able to succeed.

Get your calendars out: Homecoming 2010 will take place Friday and Saturday, April 23rd and 24th, 2010. Next year’s event, bigger and better than ever, will honor the Anniversary Classes of 1950, 1960, 1970, 1980, 1985, 1990 and 2000.
